Nutmeg, a tasty spice with a delicious scent is useful in many things. I happen to adore it in baked goods, holiday recipes and of course on top of my grande soy no water chai latte from Starbucks. Nutmeg also contains myristicin which is a weak maoi and can be deadly in large (think huge) doses. So Nutmeg is best taken in moderation. :)
My pal Joe Smith gave me the nickname when we worked together at an Office Depot in Kansas City and I thought it was fitting.
I more commonly go by Megan or Meg. I’m a 20-something gal who is opinionated, energetic and compassionate (once called a bleeding-heart liberal but that was just a misunderstanding). I’m blessed to have a wonderful family- two parents who love the Lord and each other. I have a younger brother who I’ve always loved to make laugh.
I’m a newlywed. I got married on March 27th of 2010. I must say that marriage is far superior to dating and engagement. : ) My husband, Joshua, is a talented photographer who happens to work for walmart to pay the bills. He’s kind, challenging and pretty darn handsome if I may brag! I’m blessed to have had the last year with him and look forward to the rest of our lives together.
In my spare time I read, craft, go outside hiking and rock climbing and enjoy the company of good friends.
I am a Christian. I believe that no one is good on their own and that we all need God. And that by God’s grace and love He provided a way for us to have a relationship with Him– Jesus Christ. Through the sacrifice of Christ our wrongs (sin, helplessness and depravity) have been covered and we through the prompting of the Holy Spirit we are able to accept this gift and live for Him. But wait! There’s more! In having a relationship with God we are able to see that life has meaning: loving God and bringing Him glory by obeying Him. And as you can see by the text box on the side of my page one of the ways I believe we best show our love to God is by loving others.
